Today Beach View Isla Canela, Spain

It's the start of August and the beach at Isla Canela has room for everyone. It's never crowded and the tide make the beach a delight to explore leaving a different scene each morning. Today we have lots of natural pools all along the sand bar.

Here's a lovely photo from my guests this morning l which had this great comment attached.

"The tide!!!!! I took 3000 pictures and cant stop admiring this natural event!! I have videos of fishermen i will send u. I am speachless. For people coming from the mediterranean this is spectacular because our sea does not move much!! I ❤️ isla canela"

Isla Canela – Nature At Its Best!

Isla Canela is a natural Island joined to the border town of Ayamonte in Andalucia by a bridge . Isla Canela beach runs from the mouth of the River Guardiana to the estuary which separates Isla Canela from Isla Cristina. It’s quite a walk but well worth doing if you have a spare hour.

The water rushes can be seen all along the beach path. They form an amazing habitats for wildlife that live in the wetlands just behind us. It really is an amazing place for those who want to relax and get back to nature.

Why not walk to the marina, have a spot of lunch and catch the land train back. It’s stops just opposite our apartment building.

Keeping The Little Ones Happy

Tapas Thursday

We’ve been loving our lunches on the beach but with a young family we have to keep them happy too. This seemed to work at the newly opened La Cabra, hot dogs! Couldn’t convince her to try the yummy chocos (fried cattle fish) but that left more for me 🙂
